Problems with the new forerunner 570

Hi, everyone. I don't understand if it's a firmware problem or the watch software is broken, but I bought the watch 2 days ago and I have several problems with the touch. I updated it to the latest firmware and restarted it several times, but it continues to give me this problem: when I try to slide from bottom to top, the watch starts to randomly open the various subsections, for example steps, heart rate and starts to go forward and backward, to automatically scroll through the menus. This also happens if I press the top right button of the activities and if I start to scroll through the sections, the watch does everything by itself and goes forward until it auto-selects the run, then goes back to edit, then adds a random activity. To prevent it from continuing to go crazy I press the bottom right button to return to the main screen. It also happens when I hold down the center left button and try to change the dial. The watch starts selecting and deselecting dials at random. I also happened to try to start an activity and the watch gets stuck without going forward to start the activity and does not allow me to return to the main screen of the watch, not even through the button on the bottom right. The only solution is to restart, but the touch problem remains. I hope I was clear, but I will try to put an explanatory video. • I also have this problem with the 570 I just purchased today. Any resolutions provided to anyone yet?

  • I am having this same problem with the 570 I just purchased today.  Has a resolution been provided to anyone experiencing this issue yet? Or is the best option to return and move to another manufacturer?

  • I initially purchased a Forerunner 570 a few months ago, and immediately experienced the "ghost touch" issue, where the screen interacts randomly on its own. I returned the watch and received a replacement unit.

Upon receiving the replacement, I specifically ensured that the recommended firmware update, which was intended to resolve the ghost touch problem, was applied. The watch functioned correctly until this week.

Yesterday and again today, the watch began experiencing the spontaneous ghost touch issue during outdoor runs. The menu and settings screens would scroll and change randomly without physical interaction.

The issue was particularly disruptive today during a long run. When I attempted to complete and save the activity, the watch failed to record the data, resulting in the complete loss of my run metrics.

I have been a loyal owner of Garmin watches in the past and have never encountered such reliability issues. This repeated failure, culminating in the complete loss of an activity has siginficantly undermined my faith in the reliability of Garmin products.
