"A reboot is required to use the GPS"

Hello 

Issue:

1. My Forerunner 55 is no longer able to access the GPS.
2. It constantly shows "A reboot is required to use the GPS" when starting an activity which provide two option "Reboot" or "Don't use the GPS". However, rebooting does not solve the issue.
3. Constant automatic update of the GPS module

Attempts to fix the solution so far that did not work:

1. Restarting the watch multiple time
2. Factory resetting the watch 
3. Synching via both the Garmin Connect and Garmin
4. Searching for GPS outside for more than 15min

I disabled the automatic update to fix issue #3 but I am still left with #1 and #2.

Does anyone have a fix to this?
