Forerunner 55 has stopped syncing health metrics

I have two watches, my old Forerunner 55 and my new Forerunner 255. The 255 is my primary wearable which I record my activities on and use as my main watch outside of working hours, but because I work in a warehouse there is a risk of damaging/scratching my watch, so I switch back to the 55 during working hours so that I can continue logging heart rate, body battery, steps etc. I have been doing this for a while with zero issues.

I noticed last week that from Friday 21st November, no data was being sent to Garmin when I sync the 55. It's all recorded on the watch itself but nothing is showing in Garmin Connect. I have updated the watch's software to the most recent version, I have also tried unpairing the watch from my phone/Garmin Connect and then reconnecting it, tried rebooting the watch multiple times, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, nothing. Activities recorded on the 55 sync just fine, it just seems to be the health stuff like body battery, heart rate, steps etc that doesn't get sent over. Forerunner 255 is syncing everything fine.

Any ideas what this might be or how I can fix it? The 55 hasn't been discontinued or something has it?
