My Forerunner 55 is not displaying heart rate.

The display appeared to stop coincident with recharging the watch. Believe I have / done checked everything short of restarting the watch. Don't want to risk losing data and settings.

Thank you. I corrected the problem by restarting the watch. Didn't lose data or settings. I'll keep your solution in mind if it happens to me again.

I once had the exact same issue on my FR55 and I resolved it by going into the Garmin Connect Mobile app and then toggled the wrist heart rate off and on again. After synching the device the HR was displayed again.

Restarting the watch risks at most loosing the currently active activity, and probably not even that if paused previously
