Can't Receive Latest Update 5/2024

I have successfully used Garmin Express on my computer in the past to get the lastest updates for my watch. As of now for v10.1, when I connect and sync the watch through the program it just hangs on checking for updates and then nothing ends up happening and I can't get the new software.

I did notice when I check more info on the watch in the program, it does not list the current software version installed on the watch (which is currently 9.03). 

Is there a possible workaround for this? Currently just using a standard Macbook Air. Current OS version is Monterey 12.7.4
