Garmin 55 step count is totally inaccurate when I engage in any movement activity that limits my arm swing, particularly when using trekking poles or mowing my yard. Suggestions or fixes?

Same here. The device is actually less accurate than the xiaomi miband, one of the most budget activity trackers available. It overcalculates indoor movement pretty bad. Wearing both of them shows difference of 3000 steps! According to Garmin documentation, they recommend you carrying the watch in your pocket when indoors. Completly stupid. This was my first and definitely last Garmin device.
Latest update 11.01 provides no fix for this issue. Today I had 4000 more steps than my other tracker. Is this by design? Perhaps to make users feel they have exercised more than they actually did?
Yep me too. This will be my last Garmin device. Hoping to get a refund tomorrow. Such a buggy software experience. Had an instance where the time on the watch was around 1 hour before the actual time on my phone. I had to do a double take and it turns out my watch shows that time for almost an hour. The time on the watch did not change for the whole hour! My gosh.
