Using Forerunner 55 for Custom Workouts and Time Tracking

I'm currently using a Garmin Forerunner 55 and have been trying to set up custom workouts on it. Despite following multiple guides, I've been unsuccessful. I also looked into using the Time Tracker IQ app, but unfortunately, it's not available for this watch model. Moreover, when attempting to create a custom activity, I was notified that my device isn't compatible.

Has anyone else faced similar challenges? I'm particularly interested in using my watch as a time tracker for studying and freelancing purposes. Are there any workarounds or alternative solutions that might be available for the Forerunner 55?

Any guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated!
