Did you mean you can copy the activity type? How do you do this, I’ve not found a way.

I’d like two types of running activity too - I’d like one for long runs and another one for faster runs, each with different data fields and alerts but I’m not sure if it’s possible.

I don’t have the Copy option so I guess it’s not possible on the 55.

Oh? I will have a look at the weekend. The 55 is just by backup watch. I mean it is a cheap one, so it will have less functionality than other watches, but this would be the first watch i see without this feature  And in my opinion nothing garmin has to cancel...

Thanks for that! I had always just scrolled by Other. In FR55 there's only the option to Add  Other to favourites screen but when selected as an activity,  it has its own options/settings like Running does. That will come in handy to make a separate Running profile like ijfulcher wants. 

After a bit of experimenting I found I could adapt Cardio and Other for running. Cardio didn’t have GPS on as a default but you can turn that on. Other says it doesn’t support crash detection and I can’t see a way to turn that on. 

Slightly annoying that both of those import to Strava as a workout rather than running but that can be changed afterwards.

Better late than never. You are right. The Option does Not exist or is Not in the Same space as in the Fenix...
