Battery life issues after 6.04 software update

I updated my Forerunner 55 earlier this week. I charged it overnight to 100% and it was 65% at 11pm, 41% at 7am today, and it looks like it will be dead by end of day today.

No changes to any settings other than the software update. Yesterday I disabled all notifications and it's not connected to my phone.

Anyone else having these issues?

I powered the watch on and off, but no joy.

I'm still not getting 48 hours out of a charge after the software update.

Mine is Working fine on 6.04

Do You have a Custom Watch Face ?

You Could Try a Reset !

Yes, watch face, but no apps.
Performed reset as JoeD suggested this morning.

Resetting the watch may not have uninstalled your Connect IQ watch face. Can you please go to your "More" page from your Garmin Connect app, select Garmin Devices > Appearance > Watch Faces, and uninstall any watch faces that you downloaded? I would like to see if that improves your battery life.

Same here, after recent update on 6.04, I am experiencing heavy battery drain on Forerunner 55. Did you find a solution? For the record I don't have a custom watch face.

FabienR and all, please power your watch off and turn it back on. Then, review Tips to Extend the Battery Life. If you are still experiencing rapid battery drain after adjusting any necessary settings, please let me know if I can have permission to email you directly.

Hello

I finally managed to solve the issue. After the update, it seemed the gps was still working like it was in activity mode. Despite many restarts, the battery drain was still there.

What I did : started an activity (gps fix was immediate, thus my conclusion above), stopped it, and ignored it.

Battery drain suddenly stopped. My watch is back to 1week+ battery life.
