Battery indication/life completely unreliable

Hi all,

I’ve had my FR55 since late last year and it’s recently started to inaccurately display the battery percentage. After a full charge, It stays on 100% for a couple of days, then immediately changes to 1% and then promptly dies. Obviously the inaccurate display is annoying but so is the battery life of only two days even when I haven’t logged any activities.

I have already tried a reset by holding the stop/start button and sync with the connect app

Is this fixable or do I need to get a replacement?

I just started expecting the same issue. Three days ago I charged my fr55 and then the battery was staying at 100% for 2 days after which dropped to 23 and couple of hours later it was dead.

Charged it again yesterday and 24 hours later is at 99%. I am pretty sure it will be dead by tomorrow same time.

Hi,

I was still experiencing it until a few days ago where I was asked to perform a reset to factory default on the watch to try and clear it. It appears to have worked but as I have let to charge the watch since the reset I can't be sure. I'll report back!

It's been couple of days since the last charge and so far is doing fine. It looks like it's draining the battery at a slower pace, which is good if it continues like that. Next 24 hours I think will be critical. If it doesn't die during that time I think it will be ok. Let see. I will comment back with more info.

Hi, I don't have exactly the same issue but the watch charges in about 75 minutes from 0% to 100% which makes no sense. I normally leave it 3 hours and so far good but if I remove it from the charging port as soon as it reaches 100% the battery behaves inaccurately.

I have just charged for the first time since the factory reset and it seems to be charging at a normal pace, taking over two hours to get to 100% as opposed to twenty minutes for a full charge before.
I guess I’ll consider it fixed unless the problem reappears, at which point I’ll get back in touch.

For anyone experiencing the same, sync your watch to the app to avoid data loss and then perform a factory reset by holding UP -> system etc…..

I am also having same issue, at night 11:30pm it was 45%, woke up at 6am watch dead.
Earlier multiple times, started cycling activity at 100% charge, then after an hour watch is dead.
Updated the watch to latest software and also reset it multiple times.

Still battery is unreliable...
