My Forerunner 55 keeps restarting and shows the same screens: the triangle and then it looks like it's doing a software update, but shuts down and shows the triangle and then the software update again. I tried searching for hard resets but they haven't been working specifically for the Forerunner 55.
I've done:
- Hold POWER BUTTON on for 15 seconds. The device should hopefully start to turn off.
- Press and hold UP ARROW BUTTON and DOWN ARROW BUTTON
- Press but don’t hold the POWER BUTTON for a second or so – device should turn on
- Wait for 1st beep then release UP ARROW BUTTON
- Wait for 2nd beep then release DOWN ARROW BUTTON
I also tried:
- Power off your watch (Hold "light" button between 15-20 sec)
- While holding "start" & "back" button, hold few sec "light" (to power on the device)
- Release "start" button after the first beep and the back button with the next beep.
Neither have worked. Is there a Forerunner 55 specific hard reset? Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
