Hi, my daughter's FR55 was recently replaced under warranty. The new unit suffers from laggy buttons where you wait a couple of seconds for the device to respond.

that seems to be either a faulty device or maybe it is a software problem. Try to hard reset it and update it to the latest firmware - best by connecting it to a computer and start Garmin Express.
If the problem persists, you should have it replaced once more.
