Would be nice to enable/disable sensors based on activity

Main use case here is a footpod that gets connected (and battery drained) when at a Pilates session.

So would be nice to be able to indicate that footpod should only be connected for e.g. running activity, but does not seem to be possible

  • Main use case here is a footpod that gets connected (and battery drained) when at a Pilates session.

Disabling a sensor won't help at all. The sensor is awake and transmits data whenever it detects movement. It doesn't have to be connected (or even paired) to anything.

  • To be clear the sensor sits on a pair of shoes in the neighbourhood, which I am not wearing during the Pilates session, so sensor is not moving.

Maybe something else at play, but after having moved from Forerunner 235 to 55, my Stryd foodpod battery in draining a lot faster (2 to 3 X less time between recharges)

Also, whenever I hit the UP button to scroll through widgets, the footpod gets connected.

  • Oh, ok, so we're talking about stryd. Indeed it's possible that stryd operates on a different principle. Which would be pretty dumb I guess. The sensor should not wake up unless moved.
