Unable to pair with Zwift on mobile (Android)

I'm not able to make FR55 visible as sensor inside Zwift mobile app. Zwift keeps saying "Searching..".

This happens only when I run Zwift from my mobile. If I run Zwift from desktop all looks good (able to associate FR55).

The firmware is the last one 4.11 and last sw version of Zwift app.

I found that a similar issue happened with Fenix 6 on firmware 4.30 then solved with 5.1

  • Solved. I wrote to Zwift support as well and they shared some tutorial/article. In one of them, "ANT+ and BLE", I noticed that an info box was saying "Location services turned" on my Android mobile.

The location service is always on *but* no authorization was granted specifically to the Zwift app. So once I granted the access it worked :) Zwift app was able to see my brand new FR55 and associate for the virtual run.

ps. I still have few doubts if this was the root cause of the issue, as no one confirmed that, but it worked on my case.
