Help with Pace Pro finish line

New to Pace Pro.  Took a couple of hours but got my first route put in and on the watch.

Ran the route like I was competing for the Olympics.  Got to the last 0.1 mile and was behind about 3 seconds. Really went for it.  Looked at the watch and found that I had continued past the end and the watch was still keeping time.  I'm exhausted and it took me 0.3 miles to figure out that the watch was still going.  Also it's hard for me to be going all out and looking at my watch at the same time.

My question to you experts---  Is there a way to have Pace Pro stop at the end of the designated distance and maybe let me know with a wrist buzz?  You know, have the buzz be like crossing the finish line.  I'm too busy trying to breath and stay upright after a Pace Pro battle to remember to push the button.

FYI: on other runs I just GPS and have a good time.  I use Pace Pro when it's time to have my butt kicked.

Thanks for any insights you might have.

  • Uploaded workouts don't end automatically either, which was true on the Fr 45, but not on the FR 240 (which still works better than either of these, by the way). They do have a cute little melody when you finish, but the clock keeps running. Maybe, with PacePro, it's in case the physical finish line of the race is farther than where GPS thinks it is. I like your alert idea.
