Garmin watches are more expensive in Europe

Although everywhere the new Forerunner 55 price is advertised as 200$, in my country, Romania, the price is 964 RON which equals 233$.

And this prices are from Garmin official website. 

I don't understand why is this price difference, Romania is a way more poor country than US but yet if you wanna buy a Garmin watch you have to pay more than you would normally pay in US.

    There are numerous reasons why garmin products are cheaper in USA than in Europe. This includes (but is not limited to):

    • 1 year warranty in US vs. 2 year warranty in EU.
    • VAT
    • customs
