Forerunner 35 frequently corrupting files

Three times in the last few months my Forerunner 35 won't sync and when I try to manually upload it I get an error.

This morning I did a 20k run and using fitfiletools to try to repair it, it only gets 7.5km of it. In the history for the watch it has my pace for each km but I can't get more than the first third when trying to repair it. Where it ends was nowhere special, I didn't stop my watch around then, I was just going on. Anyone else get frequent problems with this watch? It's only a year old.

This will work for you - 5617647-fixed.zip

Unzip the file then import into Garmin Connect using the import data page.

Repaired using Fit File Repair Tool.

Yes, it happens more than it should with the Forerunner 35. Much more than any other Forerunner.

If you zip the fit file and attach it to this thread, we can try some other tools to repair it.

Keep the number of files in the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder on the device’s file system to a minimum using these directions: Removing Recorded Activities on a Garmin Fitness Device If you delete the files in your activity folder with a Mac computer, then empty the trash folder before you unplug your device from the computer.
Try to avoid excessive button presses during your activity.
Regularly check for firmware updates.
If issues with corrupt files persist, contact Garmin Support.
