I will also follow this query. I find that my older f245 sends an alert much more promptly when I hit the boundaries of my Pace range for a workout than a new F265 did. (alert lag) The issue was so bad that it was determined to be defective and I returned it for an exchange. if the next device is still not better than, or at least as accurate as, my f 245, there will be no point in keeping it.
I just saw someone else's post elsewhere on this forum that confirmed my experience. the forerunner 245 will notify me whenever I hit the boundaries of my desired Pace range, giving an exact pace with the alert rather than rounding it to the nearest 5 seconds, or waiting for me to be 5 seconds faster or slower then my settings before alerting. the 265 doesn't seem to acknowledge seconds that areot rounded to five/zero. I also can't wait 30 seconds to be notified that I'm out of range when I'm doing speed work intervals!
