Forerunner 265 Bluetooth audio keeps cutting out

Hello everyone,

I’m experiencing a persistent Bluetooth audio issue with my Garmin Forerunner 265 when listening to music using wireless earbuds, and I’m hoping someone from Garmin or the community can help.

When I listen to music using my JLab Go Sport+ earbuds, playback starts normally but after about five minutes the audio begins to stutter and cut out. After a while, it becomes almost impossible to understand the music. If I disconnect the earbuds from the watch and reconnect them, the sound works fine again for a few minutes, but then the interruptions return.

Initially I thought the problem was with the earbuds, but I’ve tested them with several other devices (phone, laptop, etc.) and they work perfectly. Also, I previously used Soundcore earbuds with fewer issues, which suggests the problem may be related to the watch’s Bluetooth performance or compatibility rather than the earbuds themselves.

I’ve also seen posts in this forum where other users report similar problems with different earbuds, but I haven’t seen a clear solution or response from Garmin yet.

Has anyone found a reliable fix for this? Are there recommended settings, or troubleshooting steps I should try? I’d really appreciate guidance, since listening to music while running is one of the main reasons I bought the watch.
