Music unstable on BT (another thread!)

Try one thing please.  It is not a fix, but it is a good investigative step.

For a week, everytime you want you use BT earbuds with your watch, first put your watch on the other wrist.  Don't just do it once, try it over a couple of days.

Again it isn't a fix, buying a watch we should be able to wear it how we like.  But if you do this for several days, and then can begin to differentiate how it works on different wrists, that's important to know.

Really? It just seems strange that it has the issue after about 10 minutes every time. By reboot everything again, do you mean after each use? And what exactly do you mnean by reboot everything? Thanks for the replies.

Just once. The watch, completely turn the buds off then on.

Also, experiment with connecting the earbuds to your phone and listen to something and see if the works with those earbuds.

Given Garmin Support is useless I’ll give it a try, cheers. I’ve used them with my phone and no issues, even leaving my phone on the table on a train and going to the toilet!

I had been having the same issues with a pair of inexpensive BT earphones. They would cut out randomly and frequently. Rebooting and reconnecting made no difference. Switching wrists made no difference. I would even try running holding my watch up by my ear, within inches of my earphones, with no improvement. However, these same earphones had no issues when connected to my iPhone. I contacted Garmin and they sent me a new (refurbished) replacement watch. Had the exact same problem with the replacement.

I recently bought a set of Shokz Openfit 2 earphones. These have not had any connection issues with my FR265. So I think the cheap earphones do contribute to the problem (despite them working perfectly with my phone).

Cheers, yeah, I strongly suspect it is the earphones. I'm not mega keen on Shokz...how do you find them...can you still hear music well and podcasts and stuff, even if there is loud traffic?

Yes. The model I bought is actually Shokz OpenFit 2. I bought these specifically to allow me to hear ambient sounds while music is playing. They work quite well for this - I was surprised how much better the audio is over my previous cheapo earphones.
