Heart rate incorrectly tracked during 'Set a Target' run.

Hi everyone.

The other day I did a 5km run chasing a target time using 'Set a Target' in training mode. The issue is it didn't track my heart rate accurately.

I had an average heart rate of 143 and a max heart rate of 150. For a run like this I would usually see a heart rate between 180-187 and I was definitely pushing myself to those limits. When doing 1km intervals at this pace I am averaging about 180-182.

The 'Set a Target' mode doesn't show heart rate in real time so I didn't see it during the run. Has anyone else noticed this while using this mode? 

I'm pretty annoyed as this is crucial data to get during a max effort run.

    There shouldn't be any difference in how our algorithm for heart rate is set depending on the workout. Sorry to read you are having this experience. To confirm, if you did a normal run without using any workout features, would the HR readings be accurate?

    You have only noticed this in the workouts you "set as target" correct and nothing else like structured or open intervals, etc?
