Garmin 265 battery life dropped significantly

I got this watch two months ago, and the battery life has been excellent—lasting 6 to 7 days, depending on how actively I use it. However, over the past two days, the battery has been draining about 4 to 5 times faster. Now, it only lasts around 1.5 days. Last night alone, it used up about 40% of the battery.

I haven’t changed any settings, and there hasn’t been a recent firmware update. I'm still using the default settings: the screen is not always on, and Pulse Ox is turned off. It almost feels like the battery is starting to fail.

Does anyone have suggestions on what might be causing this or how I can diagnose what's draining the battery?

    Some tips are in the Troubleshooting guide for high battery drain. Seeing the drain happens in the night, it could be due to nighty SpO₂ activation, or because the watch unsuccessfully retries syncing or downloading updates. First of all I'd connect the watch over the USB cable to Garmin Express and check for updates with it. Then disable SpO₂, and you can also disable Bluetooth before going to bed, to exclude or confirm it as the culprit.

    I’ve noticed that the battery drain happens at the same rate during the day as it does at night. Looking at the battery chart, the drop appears to be a steady, consistent decline throughout the entire 24-hour period. Given that, do you still think features like night-time SpO₂ or Bluetooth syncing are to blame, or could this indicate a different issue?

    If PulseOx is enabled all day long, then it is definitely the strongest power consumer. Otherwise, check the guide, there are also other tips.

    As mentioned in my first post, PulseOx is currently disabled and I haven’t used it before. I'm checking the guide now—thanks!

    i am having the same issue from two days ago. Now the heart rate sensor is not working. My watch is brand new, it only has 2 weeks since i bought it. Is there any solution to this problem?

    I'm having the same problem, PulseOx is disabled, already did a factory resets. Anyone got it fixed?
