Cycling workout not possible to start on watch

I recently quit a Garmin Coach plan for running due to an injury. I started a Coach plan for cycling instead. Everything looks fine until I want to start the workout of the day on my watch. When I choose bike, the option on choosing the scheduled ride just won't show up. I have tried "everything" Pause the plan, sync, start it againg, sync, restart watch, quit plan and make a new one ect. The strange thing is that I chose to have strenght training as well, and for some reason that one is no problem. When I choose strenght training, todays workout pops up as the preferred option.

I even made a test workout to check if that works, and that shows up fine.

When I choose bike from the Start button and go in to the menu to choose workout, I get this message when trying to press "Today's training": "A cycling VO2 max is required to get suggestions".

Does anyone know what to do?

  • Do your equipment fulfill the requirements for the Garmin Cycling Coach? Especially, do you have a power meter on your bike?

"To take advantage of Garmin Cycling Coach, you need a compatible Garmin cycling computer or compatible Garmin smartwatch. You also need a heart rate monitor and a power meter paired to your device."
