Is there a way to force my Garmin FR 265 to use my Polar H10 HRM data all the time?

Hi:

Is there a way to force my Garmin FR 265 to use my Polar H10 HRM data all the time? There are times the Garmin optical sensors just do not do very well.

Only during activities. External Sensors are only active during activities.
