Workout Specific Data Screen changed from 245 to 265. 245 focused on Lap Pace. 265 focuses on Current Pace.

Has anyone else noticed this? I used to love the workout specific data screen - it's the one that shows a sort gauge that illustrates if you are running too fast or too slow for the current segment of a structured workout.

On my 245, the gauge would help my dial in my average pace for the segment. On my 265 it's based on Current Pace instead. I've not found any way to change this back. This seems like a bug because Garmin's documentation still says it should be "average pace for the current step".

  • Many comments re this over the years as well as the other pain which is the fact that the nice Arrow Head they show no longer exists and there is a tiny thin line indicating where one is across the arc. This makes it very challenging to see where one is on the arc.

Of course they put a nice sentence in that support note saying it may differ depending on the device you are using and the device they refer to being a 945 is also rather old now.

The constantly "improve" layouts and designs , that oftentimes seem to be steps backwards.
