PacePro navigation for event

Hi all,

I want to try out the PacePro feature for an upcoming running event.

I downloaded the gpx course and added my PacePro strategy and sent it to my watch.

When I want to start my PacePro plan I get asked whether I want to use navigation or not. Here I am unsure what to select.

For an official event where the course is clearly marked I dont need a navigation, right ? The only use for navigation is to make sure you are still on the correct track, nothing else.

Or is there any additional benefit of the navigation?

I can't imagine that there is another use. I have never used navigation with PacePro because it might distract me if there is a deviation between stored track and my run due to GPS errors. I take care of the course markers and the stewards.
