Forerunner 265 - Suddenly lost connection to phone DESPERATE

 No wifi, not even on GC no pairing option (need wireless v28.27 - Constant minute update, never complete. I have HARD RESET< SOFT RESET everything available online... PLEASE HELP

  • Try reinstall software 

    Go to Settings > About

    press light button 8 times

    Select Reinstall software

    maybe that helps

  • This is exactly what happened to me when I installed the first update immediately after setting up my brand new forerunner 265 at the end of last year, nothing else except the PC and USB cable method worked.

    If you have a Windows PC and Garmin Express installed then connect your watch using a USB cable. If Garmin Express is not installed then download it from the Garmin website and install it.

    Open Garmin Express and after a few minutes (or a refresh), the missing update should show as available to install.

    Once installed your watch should reconnect to your phone.

I have now reinstalled Garmin Express, reconnected the watch, what is bugging me, is the fact that when i set up wifi, it says "no networks detected" when i add manually, i can literally type ANY password, and Garmin Express accepts it... As if the wifi on the device is non-functional. The watch still says "Need Wifi v28.27" when trying to connect to phone, and no wifi networks picked up on the device / Garmin Express... I am truly bummed... This watch is a year old, and Garmin told me there is not warranty left, and they cannot assist in support. What great support that is.
