I have been using the built in coach with a plan based pace. With my tendencies to run too fast when I hit threshold runs I could not keep the pace. After a few questions and answers it has became clear, or at least I believe, I need to go back and create a plan based on heart rate.
I'm 62 and recent anaerobic workouts showed 153 as my Max heart rate. This seems low but all things being equal I create my custom workouts based on heart rate. Then say after a month I run another anaerobic max test workout and I hits 160. Now if I update on connect my Max to 160 from 153, will all my setup workouts adjust to these changed zones?
I don't have a strap, I am using my highest heart in my recent anaerobic rate as my max. It was a warm-up then 40 second as hard as I could, 3 min jog * 8.
Note: I understand 7 point change might not impact the ranges very much but that's not the point of the question!
