How do I change a scheduled workout fro a coaching plan on a Forerunner 265?

How do I change a scheduled workout fro a coaching plan on a Forerunner 265? I did a previous 5k plan and I could change the days that workouts were planned, however I am running a planned event and it will not let me change the planned workout. E.g. tomorrow I have an anaerobic workout scheduled but I am running a trail with lots of gates, I just won't be able to complete the planned run, so want to swap it with my long run. I have tried clicking the calendar and dragging and tried editing the plan.....

  • You don't need to reschedule anything. Either perform the expected workout, or do any other run or any activity instead. The suggestions will adapt moving forward.

    You will get used to the DSW paradigm: the suggestions are always reevaluated to achieve 2 simultaneous constraints: achieve a certain training focus profile, and reach a certain training acute load each week, within an overall periodization of expected weekly acute load.

    If you feel tired or ill, don't train. If you feel awesome, do a workout scheduled later instead of the one for today. As long as your train the right amount (acute load) in the right balance (training focus), your training will be optimal for your event.

    Note: if you do a lot of strength training, your training load will be under-esstimated: do rest days maybe instead of recovery runs. If you are over 50, I recommend you run every other day at max, between 3 or 4 times a week. Cross train the other days if you want at a moderate level of effort, Do strength 2-3 times a week.
