They have changed it all now from Beta 21.16 (not sure its for the better, but you can read the comments in the beta forum - look at the 965 beta forum comments also.)
I have the beta enabled, auto detect turned on but still nothing!
Did you know that beta firmwares are unstable releases, not finished and stable, also the stable presents issues, so more the BETA...
If you are running the beta, you should post in the beta forum
Maybe your MHR detected and config by the watch is wrong, and too high, this is why you hit the wall before you finish the test, by the way, this test is very hard, so try to do when youre completely recover and with full energy and each 4 to 8 weeks,
Garmin removed the guided test. However, under "Training and Planning", "Workouts" , I created a workout with 3min in Z1, then 5min each at Z2, Z3, Z4, and Z5, with a long cool down (based on lap press), during which I went back down somewhat randomly. I ended up with about 25min walking and 25min running. With Bluetooth earbuds the Workout guided me such that I could keep within the Zones. The watch gave me a new VO2max and LTHR. This was a much more sub-maximal workout than I've done in the past under the guided test, because at that time I felt like I wasn't supposed to walk. With my Resting=56bpm, LTHR=157bpm, and MaxHR=184bpm, I still feel like the LTHR-based zones might be too easy. However, I am planning activities within each zone where I monitor how easy I can sing (Z1), speak in full sentences (Z2), speak in short phrases (Z3), and speak only a word or two (Z4), and I may adjust the zones manually based on that. For a large proportion of my activities my HR is flat around 166bpm, so I feel Z2 should be higher than 126-139bpm.
Thanks for all the replies! After a month the Garmin auto detected my Hrm :)
