Garmin 265 - disconnecting from Garmin Express when I try to load music

II've had my 265 for about 4 months and it's been working perfectly. But recently 've been having problems adding music and podcasts. I've tried restoring the watch to factory settings and deleted all music activities etc. I've set the watch up again from the beginning but now whenever I try to add music in Garmin Express the watch disconnects and Express asks me to connect my Garmin!

I've tried restarting both the watch and computer, the computer is recognising the watch as it shows as connected before I click the "music" icon. I've also deleted an re-installed Garmin Express and also have the latest version of the software.

Any advice on this please?
