Battery Drain after update

After 20.26 update my battery life has gone from 9 hours to 6 hours with the same usage and settings. Is this a bug in the new software?

For your information Fenix 8 / Enduro 3 / Fenix E just received 11.64 with Battery Drain and Naps fixes.

Garmin-Sierra, Garmin yes you can, all FRx55/x65 are waiting for your feedback for a fix too

Garmin-SierraThank you, but this is not helpful. You already shipped fixes for other watches, and still haven't even acknowledged our issue. I completely factory reset my watch and the issue still persists…

yes mine is doing the same !! i looked on power manager and where it previously had 7 days next to battery saver when it was turned off (10 days with it on) it now says 4 days with it turned off garmin please fix this

Thanks! I know this is an issue with the 255,265, and 955 because many people are complaining online.

So it seems that other watches have a similar issue after the update.
Another battery drain case (with plot twist) - Forerunner 255 Series - Running/Multisport - Garmin Forums
It seems that the HR sensor being stuck in active mode, and not returning to rest mode. This can be resolved by:

Go to watch face
Press start/stop to enter activity selection
Press start/stop to select an activity (I use "run", which is my default)
Let the watch show the activity's initial screen (the one with the red/green GPS rounded bar at the top)
Press back until it returns to watch face

I tried this one, and it seemed to work. Battery life is now again >2h per percent battery.
