Resting Calories Difference in Forerunner 265 vs Instinct 2X Solar?

I have both a Forerunner 265 as my primary wearable and an Instinct 2X Solar that I primarily use for multi-day hikes or for working around the yard.  They are synced up via TrueUp.   The heart rate and active calories are generally consistent across the two devices and the data generally syncs.  However, there is a consistent difference in resting calories:  The Forerunner 265 has ~2,000 resting calories/day and the Instinct 2X Solar has ~1,800 resting calories/day.  Both wearables have the same data (including the Index S2 scale for daily weight).  Is there a way to fix this discrepency?

  • account too My Fitness Pal, pick the lowest my fitness pal activity setting and disable negative calorie adjustments.

The calories would be then be the same on Garmin Connect but would still show different on the watches.
