Forerunner 265 elevation bug

Hello,

I have a problem with the altimeter on my Forerunner 265 for the past few weeks.

The readings are completely wrong.

Do you think it is a hardware problem?

I should mention that I have already done a reset which did not fix anything.

I have issues with mine ever since updating to 20.26. My runs show 0 elevation change on my hill runs. Calibration does not help.

I also have not been able to see any elevation change since the latest update this week.

Hi, I have the same issue. I've attempted soft resets and followed the cleaning and calibration guidance, several times, which hasn't fixed the problem.

I've also emailed garmin multiple times, and despite 1 acknowledgement, I've received no actual reply.

I did contact customer services and they've offered to replace it with a recertified device.

I'm not really happy with this because I think it's something garmin has done with the recent update.

It’s funny. Because my Fenix 8 is having some software bugs and I didn’t want it to die on a run. So I pulled out my old 265 updated it and ran with it. No elevation change on a run that I know is approx 100m elevation gain. Seems to me like the 265 software is bugged too. I actually am finding quite hilarious (in a frustrating way) ha ha.
