Startup animation 20.26

Hello,

The watch startup sequence has changed since the update to version 20.26. Before the update, the sequence was as follows: the Garmin triangle appeared first, followed by a runner animation and the word Forerunner 265. After the update, the Garmin triangle appears first, followed by GARMIN logo and text "Converting to GPX" and text "Loading FIT files", and then Watchface appears. The animation with the runner does not appear anymore. Is this normal watch behaviour? All other functions seem to be working properly, at least I haven't noticed anything wrong.

Hi,

I have updated my FR 265 to the same firmware version but don’t experience this issue. Re-run the firmware update.

Mindaugas, the same happen to me with my Forerunner 965.

I have not found a solution to this problem. As I understand it, it is not possible to manually reinstall the software. My watch has already received two updates, 20.29 and 20.31, after this problem occurred, but the problem has not gone away. There was some kind of animation update before the upgrade to 20.26. I guess that animation update was corrupt or something like that.

With that bug/issue in my weather app is missing some animations conditions, like rain and clouds. Your weather app is working ok?

My weather app is probably working fine. At least I haven't noticed anything wrong. It's night time for me at the moment, and the app shows a starry sky.

This is a stab in the dark, but you could check for any missing firmware updates (like the missing graphics) by connecting your watch via USB to a PC and running Garmin Express.

I had connected the watch to my computer and updated it with Garmin Express. As I understand it, it is not possible to install the animations separately, at least I haven't found how to do it.

I already do that, and a Hard Reset too. None of those can repair something that is broken during the update to 20.26.

My watch with version 19.XX had all the animations.
