Strength Training: Editing reps and weights

As a background, I used to wear a vivoactive 4, a mainly touchscreen watch. i used to be able to input the reps and weights when doing a strength workout by "typing" it in. however on the forerunner, i have to scroll for the weight. I find this really time-wasting. especially when i move from two handed to one handed exercises where the weight varies very differently. I figured with the touch screen there should be a setting to be able to input the data by typing it in. Does anyone have any idea to toggle the setting
