Not updating

I bought a 265 today, but it keeps on saying connect with garmin connect or expreas. It does not want to update. I have restarted both devices. And uninstalled the apps but still not working. Please assist.

  • It is more reliable to update the watch firmware through garmin express. If you are able to connect the watch, it should tell you new software is available and then let you update.

    This assumes you have been able to register your watch on your Garmin account. Otherwise, you first have to add the device using Garmin express, for example.

    If you cannot register the device, you will have to contact Garmin support.
