battery drain /descarga de la bateria

Since the last update 19.18, the battery only lasts 4 days without performing any activity...how can I solve it?

  • I can confirm that. Lost 30% battery over night. There must be something wrong. It only lasts 4 days now although it shows approx. 13 of usage. Hope you can fix that asap. Thx in advance.

Solution: Turn off the Forerunner by pressing the light button, wait 1 minute and turn it back on. If you also deactivate the pulse oximetry, the battery lasts much longer.

  • I set this option to only measure over night and had 13 days before the last update. Do you mean a restart will fix that?

  • Maybe I found another battery killer right now. The clock was always on search of my new HRM-Pro Plus. I turned this option off now.

Always restart it after each software update, and if you put the pulse oximetry on demand and not at night, your battery will last longer

  • The restart is mandatory within the update. ;D

I know about the battery usage of the pulse oximetry. But I use it currently for a reason. As mentioned before I think that turning off the search for HRM will help me a lot here.

  • My battery also only lasts 3-4 days now. Lasted about 2 weeks before the update to 19.18. I have tried all of the suggested fixes for battery problems I have found when googling it, but nothing works. Have contacted Garmin Support but they are hesitant to replace the watch and are just suggesting a lot of things I have already tried - although I have already said I tried those things. Pretty sure this doesn't have anything to do with my settings or usage of the watch (as it has not changed), but the software update.

  • Do you have any external sensor in use?

Or maybe you can try to make a complete backup of the clock to your pc and then reset your clock with factory reset option.

After that you load your clock backup from pc to your clock again.
