Hi!
It would be great to make the "Free" mode in Strength training more advanced. Let me explain: I have a bunch of favorite exercises that I like to mix up daily. When using "Free" mode, you miss the details of the training, and most importantly, you don't have any exercise guides (like target sets, reps, timings, etc.).
Here's what I do today: I have created custom workouts with single exercises (1 workout - 1exercise). When it's time for training, I start my workouts one by one (start, train, stop, start the next one, etc.). It's really annoying to start and stop every time, and the data in Garmin Connect (and Strava) becomes fragmented - instead of one solid workout, I have a bunch of separate workouts.
Here's what I'm thinking: It would be fantastic to have a way to set up a list of exercises (as custom workouts today) and then use them as a source for "flexible" training. How I envision it: The user starts a strength training session (in "Free" or any new mode), then there's a list of available exercises from which the user can pick. When one exercise is finished, the user can choose the next one from the list. There are many ways this can be implemented, but the main idea is to give users a chance to prepare a list of exercises they want to do and build their training sessions on the go.
I'm glad to take a discussion here :)
