Seriously? I'm locking screen before sleep to prevent accidental watch interaction, but now watch vibrates every time I touch the locked screen (even during sleep, lol)
Seriously? I'm locking screen before sleep to prevent accidental watch interaction, but now watch vibrates every time I touch the locked screen (even during sleep, lol)
All,
Thank you for sharing this feedback. I've created a report regarding the haptic vibration occurring from a screen touch during sleep/while the screen is locked. If you would like to be added to the…
Ah, thank you for clarifying. I can't promise that this will change, but I understand the concern clearly now. The only workaround for now would be to disable Haptic Feedback, but we will look into…
This was fixed on Beta 20.15, and we're currently on 20.23. For more information on how to install beta, see Public Beta Version 20.23.
Feel free to wait for our live release if you'd prefer not to…
Yeah this was ridiculous. Kept on waking me up. Whoever thought this was a good idea, or accidentally allowed it through testing, needs a careful word with themselves. Have turned off haptics entirely…
Hi, I’m on 20.29 and doesn’t look like this has been addressed.
Issue remains on Public 20.32. When do you guys fix this. This makes haptic unuseable!
Also reported it here: forums.garmin.com/.../1791757
This still remains in "Do Not Disturb" mode. One of my clothes is triggering the screen, i can't block it because it constantly vibrating in that case. Do Not Disturb didn't help to resolve this issue as it doesn't affect vibration
All-
I want to make sure we're on the same page. The original concern with haptic vibrations occurring because of the "locked screen" message during DND/Sleep mode was fixed on 20.26. However, there is a new concern that the haptic vibrations are occurring during DND/Sleep mode while scrolling through your glances- correct? I assume this is only happening with the Touch function, as typically you would be awake if you're using button presses to scroll.
Does a workaround of either locking your screen before bed, or disabling Touch "During Sleep" fix this concern?
Sleep mode is fixed, but situation when you're going around the street and jacket sleeve triggers screen touch so you have to go with constant vibration or unexpected screen interactions is not fixed and even not mentioned before, but it's related to same issue in general
In that situation, we would suggest locking the screen from the Controls menu to prevent the inadvertent touches or swipes due to jacket sleeves.
Watches start vibrating on every touch event when screen is locked. This is the issue.
Have you even read my reply? I am on version 20.32 and the *ORIGINAL ISSUE* is still there. So it was not fixed. If I turn on touchscreen, haptic and lock the screen then every touch of button OR touchscreen triggers the vibration. Very annoying!
When I bought the 265 the locked screen has turned off the haptic respnse and only notifications would be signaled by vibration. Which makes sense.
And the same issue is metioned here https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-265-series/373281/hi-after-the-last-update-my-forerunner-265-has-started-vibrating-when-the-screen-is-locked-unlocked-how-can-i-turn-this-off/1791757#1791757 and is also not fixed, but hey you guys just closed the thread, cause on your list its fixed ... even it's not.
Please just revert this feature.
Exactly! And no, it wasn't fixed on 20.26.
Ah, thank you for clarifying. I can't promise that this will change, but I understand the concern clearly now. The only workaround for now would be to disable Haptic Feedback, but we will look into this. I will edit the title of this thread to remove "sleep" to avoid any confusion for other users and keep the other thread locked since it is the same topic (I'd like to keep the topics within one thread).
If you do not like the haptic vibration for the Locked Device message, please vote UP on this comment so I can add you to the report for tracking purposes.
