I've had a Garmin Forerunner 265 for the past three months. It's worked great. About three weeks ago two things happened. First, I ran a half-marathon - no big deal, I've done several over the years, but this was the first having used the recommended runs on my 265 to prepare. Did okay, not great, but okay. The other thing that happened about that time is the 265 software updated to 18.27. Since that time, my 265 seems to think that my health and fitness have fallen off a cliff. It seems to be mostly related to HRV measurement. In the past few weeks my measured HRV has dropped right off the scale. I'm assuming because of that measurement, it's saying my stress level has skyrocketed, I'm getting terrible sleep, my training readiness barely makes it into the 20s, and my training status has reached the "strained" category. I never knew there was a strained category, and don't want to find out what's below that. Despite all of this, I feel great, and for some reason the 265 is recommending daily runs that are longer, faster, and harder than any it had me doing prior to this last half-marathon, even though the next one is still five months away. So, what's the problem? Does this mean (1) the software update screwed up the HRV measurement, (2) my 265 has lost the ability to measure HRV , or (3) my 265 thinks I need to start getting my personal effects in order?
