Calories burned deviation between Garmin and iPhone

Hi.

I just started using a Forerunner 265s, and I've noticed huge differences between active calories burned vs an iPhone.

With my iphone in my pocket all day, it says I've burned 182 kcal, but my garmin watch says I've burned only 53 active calories.

Why is there such a huge difference? Do Garmin watches underestimates active calories, or do iPhones overestimate?

Both devices have registered my current weight and height.
