Extra lap being generated

So, I just swapped out my FR 245 with FR 265 and used the 265 primarily for long-distance hikes with the Garmin Hiking App. For some reason, the FR 265 is adding extra laps that I never recorded.

I noticed the same problem w/3rd party f3b Outdoor activities app.. I only manually record laps via the lap key.

I have Auto Lap Off, Lap Key On.

It's almost as if the FR 265 thinks I'm hitting the lap key, as the incorrectly inserted laps have nothing in common.

Anyone have any ideas on this or maybe a workaround?

It is quite possible that either the lap button is triggered accidentally, or perhaps it is malfunctioning.

tmk2 Well I'm pretty sure I found my problem .. it turns out in Hot Keys setup I had 'Hold Back' key set as Lap .. which is redundant as by default it is already set to Lap. I removed the Hot Key setting .. and so far that seems to have solved the problem. Still testing ..

If that is the problem then I suppose this was my 'OOooops'
