I am going on hiking trip that will be 9 days. There will be no outlets to charge my watch and I have the forerunner 265. I know the battery life is only 20 hours on gps mode. How can I still record my hike without the watch dying?

Are you not taking a portable battery pack for your phone etc?
Some other tips here:
I assume you will be taking breaks in the actual hiking. I would charge the watch at those intervals. Most of the modern portable batteries are fairly light I guess. At least that way you would have some power for emergencies for your phone also. I'd maybe get a few so you can distribute the weight if necessary.
Test it beforehand.
This was just a thought , I haven't done long multi day hikes.
Good luck with the journey!
