After updating to version 18.23, the intensity minutes have disappeared in both connect apps. The watches also shows 0 intensity minutes. I am doing indoor bike training with edge 530. Was it supposed to happen of it's just a bug?

Are you using a chest strap or your FR 265 during these cycling activities? If your heart rate source is coming from a chest strap other than an HRM-Pro or HRM-Pro Plus, you may not be able to receive Intensity Minutes. However, if your heart rate data is coming from your FR 265, we will need to look further into this.

Since you have an Edge and FR, this FAQ may be useful as well: What is Unified Training Status?. The Edge 530 is not compatible with Unified Training Status.
I am using the Edge 530 along with the HRM-Tri chest strap. From the time I switched from my old 735 xt until a few days ago when I hit the "install update" button, everything worked perfectly. I don't need a new chest strap, I'm completely happy with the current one, what happened in your system that it's suddenly not good enough?
If the FR 265 was not involved in your cycling activities then the update to 18.23 would not have caused a sudden change. The HRM-Tri is not compatible with Intensity Minutes if you are using it with an Edge and if a watch is not involved. If the 735xt was previously involved (that device is compatible with IM), perhaps that's where you previously received them?
I would recommend directly contacting Product Support if you believe that you have met the requirements listed in How Are Intensity Minutes Earned?, so an agent can look into your Connect account and see what could have happened.
I mean, I understand your scepticism, but that's exactly what happened. I didn't have many workouts this week, and the fact that none of them counted is even more disappointing.
I mentioned my old 735xt just to emphasise that this feature had worked for quite a while and stopped working aftee installing this update. The problem may not be caused by the update itself, but that's the only change in my hardware that happened this week, and the missing minutes can be correlated to that.

Hello again, I've borrowed an HRM-Pro plus chest strap to run an AB test. Had a 1h workout today with Edge 530 + HTM-Pro plus, but intensity minutes from the workout are still missing.

Edge 530 doesn't have Intensity Minutes feature and all this time IM metric had been reported by my Fr 265. Recent update just broke this functionality for me. So yes, it is indeed related to the latest changes in the firmware.
I am closely following this, as I noticed the same issue after the latest update. My Intensity minutes feature is not tracking correctly. Prior to the update I had 700-800 intensity minutes per week. Now after the update I have 200 something and nothing about my workout schedule or activities changed at all. I put in a full workout week. Also on a FR265
Oh, yes. And I totally forgot to mention that I ran a few experiments.
I was checking my heart rate on watches during workouts, and despite of having heart rate setting set to "every second" my fr265 was showing 53-55 (that's basically my rhr values), while it was 130-150 on my Edge device.
I was having a similar experience! I know my HR was up high enough to record intensity as I was pushing myself to the point of barely being able to breathe to test the accuracy of my watch (I run marathons and have a LTHR of around 171 so I'm in pretty good shape)
