HR issues after accessing hr widget

I noticed that the HR & body battery was no longer displayed on my watch so i accessed the HR widget. It seems like at some point during the day my watch stopped registering the HR even though i mostly stayed at my desk with the watch in the same position as normal.

After a few seconds after i accessed the widget the HR appeared but it was at ~115-120 which was not accurate as i wasn't doing anything. Tried restarting it a couple of times but the issue is still there, even if the HR is displayed, as soon as i access the HR widget the HR disappears and it shows up in a few seconds but at 120bpm.

Is this a known issue? Fixable or should i return the watch?

  • I think your device may have froze during that period of time. We were tracking reports of the device freezing during general use and have a fix coming very soon. If this has happened since you posted, may I have permission to reach you via email?

  • Hey,

It did not happen again since i posted but before posting i was able to reproduce the issue every time i accessed the HR widget(i'm referring to the spike in the HR).

Monitoring was 'fixed' after i noticed the issue and accessed the phone app/synced/restarted two times, not sure which of these did the trick.

    Cheers

  • Hey

I'm having the same issue today.

Upon accessing the HR widget the HR reading is lost, it starts measuring and then spikes at 120bpm. Here's i video took of the problem: https://www.screencast.com/t/AUco1pPxD

Right after i ended the video i re-accessed the widget and the reading dropped to 0 for a few seconds. Now, every time i access the widget it does the same, even the move alert was reset while i was sitting in front of my laptop.

The only thing that today and Tuesday have in common is that i registered an activity using an external HR, not sure if this might have any relevance or not.

My question is, is it a software or a hardware issue?

    Cheers
