How accurately can you set time based alert? Is it 1/10th of a second or 1/100th of a second in a) track mode b) run mode?

  • Not something I used but looked at my Unit (ok its a 965 but I assume its similar).

From what I see the smallest interval is one second in Run Mode.

From what I see the smallest interval is one hundredth of a second in Track Mode.

    I hope that is helpful

  • Thanks for checking. At least FR965 is then OK to be used in long test races on track (accurate enough).

  • In ForeRunner 735XT there is no track mode, so if use time based alert is used to check progress per every 1 hundred meter, then after 10,000 meters 1 second difference marks 1 minute 40 second cumulative difference to time. So ForeRunner 735XT is useless for long distance running. FR965 and FR745 do work (only 1 second cumulative difference).
