Incorrect Audio Prompts (pace) during interval workout (Forerunner 265 - firmware 16.17)

During several workouts recently, I've noticed the Audio Prompt which gives the planned pace for the next interval, has been wildly incorrect.

This seems to intermittently affect workouts where there are repeats and is only applicable when the workout has a pace goal set for the intervals. For the 1st rep, it calls out the pace correctly and for subsequent reps, it's giving pace numbers much higher/slower than what is actually specified in the workout.

Everything else about the workout is perfect, all the numbers on the screen etc are correct. This bug appears to ONLY affect the audio prompt. I hope it's fixed in the next firmware release as it's a bit irritating.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Count me in, seeing this behavior as well. Pace Voice Prompts don't seem to be matching what the workout specifies. Most times it's only off 5 or 10 seconds, but I've had it be off up to 1 minute.

I first noticed it when they moved the voice prompts to before the interval starts. Previously, when the voice prompt was after the interval started, it was fine. I think that started in 16.17, but not sure.

I love that they moved the voice prompts to before the interval, as it was annoying for short sprint intervals since the audio prompt could barely finish before the interval was done.

I've tried a full reset of the watch but still seeing (hearing) this issue.

Yes I’ve been having it for a while even after a software update. I’m on a fénix 7s. Today‘s intervals were a 4:40min/km pace but the audio prompt was 2:10min/km. Just like you mentioned though the first interval was correct but the 9 that followed were inaccurate. The pace prompt for the recovery part was fine.

A few weeks ago it was the opposite way for a sprint interval being almost 2 mins per km slower than the intended pace.

it is extremely frustrating.

FYI, I did get a response from support stating that they were able to reproduce the issue and were working on a fix that should be available in a future firmware update. No timeframe, but Garmin is aware and working on it.
