Missing compatibility?

I tried asking this in the Connect IQ forum, but it hasn't gotten any responses, so I thought I'd give it a shot over here.

In looking through the available watch faces, and some other random apps, it seems like the Forerunner 265/265S is missing from the compatibility list for a lot of them.  Including a whole bunch of watch faces that appear to have all the other Forerunner models, and just about all the other watches Garmin makes.  Is there something about the 265 that makes it harder to build a watch face/app for?  Or does Garmin just need to update their store to fix that?  Does anyone have any insight into when this might be fixed if it's just a need for an update to the store?

    This is developer dependant. I believe the AMOLED is different hence a lot of developers haven't updated their watch faces etc to AMOLED.

    I am using DataLover and EPIXPro2 MB watch faces on my 965. I particularly like the EpixPro2 MB and it is very configurable. There is a small fee but to my mind it is worthwhile.

    What devices are supported for CIQ apps is up to the developer and not Garmin.  AMOLED device are a bit tricky for watch faces on top of the fact that AMOLED devices have a larger display resolution for things like custom fonts and bitmaps.,  For me, while I have a number of things for AMOLED devices (like the 265) with some, I'll wait for a user to request support for a device.

    If you see something you want but isn't available for your device, use "Contact Developer" for that app in the app store.

    Thank you both for the info.  Most of the watch faces I was looking at are developed *by* Garmin, so in that regard, it is their issue.  It's good to know that the AMOLED screen is different,  I think I'll give the "contact developer" button a shot and hope they eventually add the compatibility.
