Unable to update software version from 3.21

I just unboxed and turned this on for the first time. Everything seems to work BUT the software version is 3.21 and will not detect any updates.

I am unable to download apps, e.g. Spotify as it prompts for a software update (that my watch doesn't download automatically or even recognize.)

I have tried both via Express on laptop and on Connect app, but result is same. Please advise!

  • Update! I was about to do a full factory reset, so I removed the USB cable from the 265 and was IMMEDIATELY promted with a software update. Currently updating to presumably latest version 4.something. If it does not stick I'll add a new post, if not Ill check out.

    Some thoughts though as neither express or connect failed to report anything else than "software up to date". In best case this is a bug that should be solved, in worst case it's really sloppy programming.
